Why sitting behind your desk all day is so dangerous

When you sit behind your desk without exercising for long periods of time your blood flow decreases and your blood thickens.  Large blood clots can develop when the blood flow in a vein is restricted or moves too slowly, causing chronic pain and swelling. A blood clot can break free and travel through your blood to major organs, where it can cause damage and even death, within hours.
